Role Description
This is a full-time, on-site role located in Milwaukie, OR, for a Lead Mobile Vehicle Technician. The Lead Mobile Vehicle Technician will be responsible for overseeing and performing installations, maintenance, and repairs of communication equipment in vehicles. The role involves troubleshooting, maintaining system integrity, and ensuring optimal performance of two-way radio systems. The technician will also provide leadership and guidance to other team members, ensure compliance with safety protocols, and effectively manage workloads and scheduled projects.
Qualifications
- Technical expertise in two-way radio systems, radio frequency (RF) communications, and electrical systems (proffered).
- Experience in vehicle electronics installation, maintenance, and troubleshooting
- Proficiency in diagnostic tools and techniques, and a strong capacity for problem-solving
- Leadership and team management abilities with strong organizational skills
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to collaborate with clients and team members effectively
- Physical ability to work with hand tools and perform lifting or maneuvering equipment as needed
- A valid driver's license and clean driving record are required
- Prior experience in public safety or a related field is a plus
- Certifications related to communication equipment or electronics are highly desirable
- High school diploma or equivalent; additional technical training or certification is preferred
