What are the responsibilities and job description for the Business Development Manager position at Communications Collaborative?
Communications Collaborative is looking for a motivated, driven, staffing sales professional who will drive new business opportunities for the team creating relationships with targeted companies/businesses and reconnecting with inactive clients/prospects. This position is responsible for developing and building new client relationships through networking, lead generation and cold outreach activities.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Create and follow a business development plan outlining activity that will increase business
- Partner with targeted clients/prospects as often as possible to build rapport and develop strong, long-term personal and business relationships
- Identify opportunities to expand business with current accounts by selling vertically and horizontally within a company
- Reengage with lapsed accounts by reintroducing our services to appropriate hiring managers
- Be a trusted advisor to clients/prospects by remaining current on industry market and hiring trends
- Review job boards to find leads for open creative/marketing positions
- Track and report activity and results weekly in applicant tracking system (Bullhorn)
- Stay current with industry best practices, trends and hiring
- Attend industry and/or networking events
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Bachelor's degree preferred
- 5 years of successful experience in a staffing business development role; marketing/creative preferred
- Proven results in partnerships, including negotiating agreements, navigating complex organizations, onboarding partners, and managing/optimizing ongoing relationships
- Self-driven, organized, detail oriented and motivated to accomplish personal and group goals
Position is hybrid, 2 days/week in our Boston office. Compensation is a base salary plus commission.
