Summary
We are seeking passionate and dynamic Drama Teacher to join our team and teach Public Speaking and Debate to students in grades K-8. If you have a love for communication and enjoy inspiring young learners, we encourage you to apply!
As a Public Speaking and Debate Coach/Teacher, you will
- Teach Public Speaking or Debate to K-8 students, using our comprehensive, pre-developed curriculum.
- Facilitate engaging classes that help students express themselves confidently, improve their communication skills, and enhance their creative thinking.
- Provide individualized, on-the-spot coaching and constructive feedback to students in small class settings (maximum 12-14 students per class).
- Create a positive, fun, and supportive learning atmosphere to ensure every student feels valued and encouraged.
- Deliver classes during after-school hours on weekdays or Saturdays, as well as during school break camps (Summer, Thanksgiving, Christmas, and Spring).
Work Schedule
- Weekdays: Monday to Friday, 4:00 PM – 6:15 PM
- Saturdays: 9:00 AM – 12:00 PM or 1:00 PM – 5:30 PM
- School Break Camps: 9:00 AM – 12:00 PM or 12:00 – 3:00 PM
Flexible hours are available, with part-time opportunities ranging from 2 to 30 hours per week during the school year, and 12 to 30 hours per week during school breaks.
Qualifications:
- English, Bachelor’s degree in Drama, Communication, Education, or a related field (preferred).
- Minimum of one year of experience in teaching, coaching, or tutoring Drama, Public Speaking or Debate
- Excellent communication skills with a passion for helping students develop self-confidence and communication abilities.
- Energetic, reliable, and professional with the ability to create a fun and educational environment.
- Enjoy working with students of all ages, especially K-8.
