Experience in groups and substance abuse treatment. 2 years relevant experience with the psychiatric population preferred. Ability to be a team player. Ability to deal tactfully with staff, residents, family members, visitors, and government agencies. Basic computer literacy skills. Knowledge of social services practices and procedures. Attention to detail and ability to work in a fast-paced environment. If recovering, at least 2 years of unbroken sobriety (alcohol and drugs). JOB RESPONSIBILITIES: As Outpatient Therapist / Counselor, you will: Provide psychotherapy and counseling therapies including group, individual and family therapy for patients suffering from psychiatric conditions. Ensure accurate and timely patient documentation. Provide direct social work services to patients and their families as a part of the multidisciplinary team with most emphases on completing Psychosocial Assessments, facilitating psycho-educational training, family meetings, discharge planning, assisting in program development, and developing, implementing, and reviewing Treatment Plans.
