Estimator Position Overview:
The Estimator is responsible for generating quotations for custom manufacturing projects by analyzing engineering design plans and project specifications.
Key Responsibilities:
- Interpret and scale 2D/3D drawings based on project requirements.
- Communicate with vendors for updated material pricing.
- Utilize quotation tools and software.
- Collaborate with sales, project management, and production teams.
- Ensure compliance with environmental and safety regulations.
Job Requirements:
- Proficiency in reading and interpreting 2D/3D drawings, business correspondence, and RFQs.
- Ability to present information and respond to pricing inquiries from the management and sales teams.
- Problem-solving skills in non-standardized situations, with the ability to interpret various instructions.
- Knowledge of structural design and steel pricing is a plus.
- Bachelor’s degree or at least 2 years of relevant experience/training, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
