CommQuest is seeking a Full-Time Medical Assistant to be stationed at our Canton office. The Medical Assistant (MA) is responsible for providing the support activities necessary to ensure an efficient and effective pharmacological management service at CommQuest Services. These support activities shall include, but may not be limited to such things as administrative tasks such as scheduling appointments, receiving phone calls, record-keeping and filing, processing requests for information, etc., as well as clinical activities such as rooming clients, taking vitals, phlebotomy, performing EKGs, client assistance, urine drug screens, prior authorizations, and other actions which supports the prescriber and nursing staff.

What you'll do:
- Triage Pharmacological Management phone calls from clients, community agencies, schools, etc., regarding clinical issues.
- Complete client release of information and patient referrals, as directed.
- Schedule and reschedule client appointments.
- Record-keeping and filing.
- Performing and maintaining competency in Phlebotomy
- Coordinate doctor/nurse practitioner schedules, to include appointments with drug company representatives.
- Coordinate appt. for residential treatment clients for assessments and screenings.
- Additional responsibilities as requested

Monday - Friday

Minimum Qualifications:
- Minimum of a high school diploma or GED equivalent is required.
- Formal certification as a Medical Assistant is not required but is a plus.
- Knowledge of standard medical language is required
- One or more years' related experience is preferred.
- Previous experience in mental health, social work, and/or psychiatric services is preferred.
- Must have flexibility in scheduling, to accommodate outpatient office and client needs.
- Must have flexibility to travel between Canton, Massillon and Alliance Outpatient offices, as needed.
