Responsibilities
- Assist orthopedic surgeons during surgical procedures by providing optimal exposure, tissue retraction, and instrument handling.
- Prepare operating rooms with necessary supplies, instruments, and equipment, ensuring all are sterile and ready for use.
- Maintain strict adherence to aseptic techniques and infection control protocols to safeguard patient safety.
- 5 years of experience in Orthopedics
- Must be proficient and extremely strong in soft-tissue graft preparation
Qualifications
- Certified Surgical Assistant (CSA) credential with specialized training in orthopedics.
- Proven experience working as a surgical first assistant in orthopedic surgeries within hospital environments.
- Strong knowledge of anatomy, physiology, medical terminology, and surgical procedures related to orthopedics.
- Experience working in high-pressure settings such as Level I Trauma Centers or emergency medicine environments is highly desirable.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification; additional certifications such as Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) are a plus.
- Familiarity with infection prevention practices, aseptic techniques, and healthcare infection control standards.
- Ability to work collaboratively within multidisciplinary teams while in new environments

Pay: $55.00 - $65.00 per hour
