Position located in Norwood, MA
Responsibilities:
- Support senior project managers with the development and execution of project plans, timelines, budgets, and schedules.
- Prepare, organize, and update project documentation, including project plans, status reports, meeting agendas, and meeting notes.
- Use 2D and 3D Autodesk AutoCAD to review, update, and modify technical drawings; interpret design requirements and ensure drawings align with project specifications and applicable industry standards.
- Coordinate communication and project activities among internal engineering teams, customers, vendors, and other external stakeholders.
- Track project schedules, milestones, deliverables, and overall progress while helping identify potential project risks and supporting the development of mitigation strategies.
- Assist with quality assurance and quality control activities while ensuring project work is completed in accordance with established safety and quality requirements.
- Identify project issues or roadblocks early, work collaboratively with engineering and project teams to resolve them, and help keep projects moving forward.
- Gradually take on additional project engineering responsibilities, providing an opportunity to grow beyond design and CAD-focused work into broader project coordination and execution.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Chemical Engineering, or a related technical discipline. Equivalent relevant experience may also be considered.
- 1–5 years of experience in mechanical design, preferably involving production machinery, process equipment, and/or process instrumentation.
- Hands-on experience using Autodesk AutoCAD in both 2D and 3D environments.
- Strong ability to interpret engineering drawings and technical specifications.
- Effective communication and organizational skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities and work collaboratively with engineers, project managers, clients, and vendors.
- Interest in developing into a broader Project Engineer role with increasing responsibility for project execution and coordination.
Salary : $75,000 - $90,000
