This role uses investigative work, communication skills, and legal knowledge to help resolve concerns and promote compliance. You will also testify as a witness for the Commonwealth in the prosecution of noncompliant employers in formal judicial proceedings. As a Workers Compensation Compliance Investigator, you will perform the following duties:
- Complaint Investigation: Investigate reports of noncompliance with the Workers Compensation Act and related regulations
- Employer Education: Inform the public and employers about their responsibilities through clear verbal and written communication
- Case Development: Gather records, interview workers, and prepare case summaries for possible prosecution under Section 305
- On Site Reviews: Conduct evaluations of employer worksites to determine compliance and guide them in understanding legal requirements
- Fraud Review: Examine allegations of workers compensation fraud and provide findings to appropriate insurance carriers
- Exemption Processing: Review and process applications for exemption under religious or executive officer provisions and maintain accurate records
Work Schedule and Additional Information:
- Full-time employment
- Work hours are 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM, Monday - Friday, with a 30-minute lunch.
- Telework: You may have the opportunity to work from home (telework) part-time. You will be required to report in-office 2 days per week. In order to telework, you must have a securely configured high-speed internet connection and work from an approved location inside Pennsylvania. If you are unable to telework, you will have the option to report to the headquarters office in Harrisburg. The ability to telework is subject to change at any time. Additional details may be provided during the interview.

QUALIFICATIONS
Minimum Experience and Training Requirements:
- Four years of clerical work in the review, research, and presentation of records, correspondence, and documents, including two years of public contact experience; or
- An equivalent combination of experience and training that includes two years of public contact experience.
- This particular position also requires possession of a valid driver's license.
