A Revenue Research Analyst 1 gathers data from various sources to see if there are any operational improvements that need to be made; performs quality assurance reviews of the interactions between Customer Experience Center (CEC) employees and customers to ensure the quality of responses and validity of tax account changes; collaborates with other areas of the department to make enhancements to public content; evaluates the need for user guides or written procedures based on quality assurance findings; reviews and analyzes tax laws, rules, regulations, policies, Board of Appeals decisions, etc., to determine any training or outreach needs.

Work Schedule and Additional Information:
- Full-time employment.
- Work hours are 9:00 am to 5:00 pm, Monday - Friday, with 30-minute lunch.
- Telework: You may have the opportunity to work from home (telework) part-time on Monday and Friday. In order to telework, you must have a securely configured high-speed internet connection. If you are unable to telework, you will have the option to report to the headquarters office in Harrisburg.

Minimum Experience and Training Requirements:
- One year of supervisory experience in a major tax system which involved the receipt or examination of tax returns or the enforcement of the tax rules and regulations; or
- One year of experience in systems analysis and/or operations research and a bachelor's degree including or supplemented by 21 credit hours in courses involving the use of quantification techniques applicable to systems analysis and operations research such as statistics, systems analysis, mathematical model building, algebra, calculus, operations research, quantitative research design, economic analysis, computer science, or any other quantifiable course work.
- Appropriate graduate study may be substituted for the required experience on a year for year basis; or
- Any equivalent combination of experience and training.
- You must be able to perform essential job functions.
- Must be able to effectively use Microsoft Office Suite.
