DESCRIPTION OF WORK

This position supports patient care and daily treatment activities in a structured health care setting. The role focuses on safety, communication, and steady support for individuals receiving services. As a Licensed Practical Nurse, you will perform the following duties:

  • Patient Care: Record vital signs and support basic physical care activities
  • Medication Support: Administer medications and treatments under supervision following written orders
  • Therapeutic Interaction: Use positive communication techniques during daily interactions and crisis situations
  • Environmental Safety: Help maintain a clean, safe, and supportive living area for patients
  • Treatment Participation: Assist with patient programs, therapies, and routine treatment plan tasks
  • Observation and Reporting: Observe patient behavior and report changes clearly in writing and speech

Work Schedule and Additional Information:
  • Full-time employment.
  • Work hours are 2nd shift (3:00 PM - 11:30 PM) with 30-minute lunch.
    • Rotating work days with every 3rd weekend off

  • Salary: Selected candidates who are new to employment within the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania will begin employment at the starting annual salary of $68,914.00 (before taxes).

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE, TRAINING & ELIGIBILITY

QUALIFICATIONS

Necessary Special Requirements:
  • This position requires active authorization to practice as a Licensed Practical Nurse in Pennsylvania.
  • All employees possessing an active temporary practice permit must obtain licensure as a Licensed Practical Nurse within the one (1) year period defined by the Pennsylvania State Board of Nursing.

Other Requirements:
  • PA residency requirement is currently waived for this title.
  • If you are within 60 days of completing a licensed practical nursing program approved by the State Board of Nursing, you are eligible to apply for this job posting. At the time of appointment to a position, you must show proof of possession of a current, valid PA temporary practice permit or PA Licensed Practical Nurse license.
  • You must be able to perform essential job functions.

Legal Requirements:
  • A conditional offer of employment will require satisfactory completion of a medical examination and a drug screening test.
  • This position falls under the provisions of the Older Adult Protective Services Act.
    • Under the Act, a conditional offer of employment will require submission and approval of satisfactory criminal history reports, including but not limited to, PA State Police and FBI clearance.
