This position directs maintenance crews and oversees the repair, construction, and upkeep of roads, trails, facilities, and equipment throughout the Pinchot Forest District. It also supports wildfire response and resource protection. As a Forest Maintenance Supervisor, you will perform the following duties:
- Crew Supervision: Lead employees who construct, repair, and maintain forest roads, trails, and facilities
- Work Planning: Organize schedules, assign tasks, and review project needs for equipment and supplies
- Employee Guidance: Discuss safety procedures, demonstrate proper methods, and evaluate performance
- Project Oversight: Prepare reports, review logs, and make recommendations to district management
- Resource Protection: Support wildfire suppression efforts and protect natural features within the district
- Administrative Duties: Approve leave, review grievances, and complete required records and documentation

Work Schedule and Additional Information:
- Full-time employment
- Work hours are 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM, Monday - Friday, with a 30-minute lunch.
- Travel and overtime requried
- Telework: You will not have the option to telework in this position.

QUALIFICATIONS
Minimum Experience and Training Requirements:
- Four years of semi-skilled maintenance or construction experience which includes one year in the operation of small and medium size construction or agricultural equipment; or
- An equivalent combination of experience and training.
Special Requirements:
- All positions require possession of an active motor vehicle license.
- This position requires possession of a Class A Commercial Driver's license.
