- DESCRIPTION OF WORK
This is a training level position in which you will receive guidance and close supervision to acquire the essential skills needed to care for individuals with emotional and physical disabilities. In this position, you will continuously monitor patients, their living areas, and their daily activities during their evaluation and treatment process. This will include assisting patients with self-care skills such as bathing, oral hygiene, hair care, and dressing. Additionally, you will serve as the primary contact person for assigned patients, as well as serve as a patient advocate, maintaining respect and confidentiality while assisting them with their personal needs. Other duties you will be responsible for include, but are not limited to the following:
- Collecting urine samples
- Taking and recording temperature, pulse, respiration, blood pressure, height, and weight
- Monitoring soaks and providing skin care
- Completing and documenting daily environmental and face-to-face rounds of assigned areas
- Participating in treatment plan development
- Providing emotional support and simple nursing procedures to patients

Work Schedule and Additional Information:
- Full-time employment
- Work hours are 7:00 AM to 3:30 PM during the training period, and 3:00 PM to 11:30 PM after successful completion of training, with a 30-minute lunch.
- Shift days vary due to operational need. You will work 10 out of 14 days in a two-week period.
- Overtime and travel required as needed.

- REQUIRED EXPERIENCE, TRAINING & ELIGIBILITY
QUALIFICATIONS
Minimum Experience and Training Requirements:
- Completion of the tenth school grade; or
- Any equivalent combination of experience and training.
Other Requirements:

- You must be able to perform essential job functions.
Legal Requirements:
- You must pass a background investigation.
- A conditional offer of employment will require a medical examination and a drug screening.
- This position falls under the provisions of the Older Adult Protective Services Act.
- Under the Act, a conditional offer of employment will require submission and approval of satisfactory criminal history reports, including but not limited to, PA State Police and FBI clearance.
