DESCRIPTION OF WORK
This position supports the daily cleanliness and safety of the hospital environment while following standards and procedures. As a Custodial Worker 1, you will perform the following duties:
- Cleaning Tasks: Perform floor care, restroom cleaning, dusting, and other sanitation duties across assigned areas
- Safe Practices: Handle and store cleaning chemicals safely and follow all safety procedures
- Equipment Use: Operate floor care tools, carts, and other housekeeping equipment and maintain them properly
- Supply Handling: Move, transport, and organize supplies, linen, and equipment within assigned locations
- Communication: Report hazards, follow instructions, and communicate effectively with supervisors and team members
Work Schedule and Additional Information:
- Full-time employment, 37.5 hours per week
- Work hours are 12:00 PM to 8:00 PM, Saturday - Wednesday, with a 30-minute lunch. Your work schedule may change based on operational needs.
- Overtime: As needed
- Telework: You will not have the option to telework in this position.
- Salary:In some cases, the starting salary may be non-negotiable.

QUALIFICATIONS
Additional Requirement:
- You must be able to perform essential job functions.
- A conditional offer of employment will require a medical examination.
- This position falls under the provisions of the Older Adult Protective Services Act.
- Under the Act, a conditional offer of employment will require submission and approval of satisfactory criminal history reports, including but not limited to, PA State Police and FBI clearance.
