DESCRIPTION OF WORK
As a Social Services Aide, you will be tasked with transporting parents and children to visitations, ensuring safe and timely arrivals. This includes various appointments such as medical visits, therapy sessions, forensic interviews, and behavioral health consultations. Within this role, you will also provide childcare services at the agency's office, courthouse, and other designated locations. You will have the opportunity to provide hands-on practical guidance on household management skills to clients, which may involve childproofing homes for infant safety, cleaning, organizing, and pest control. Additional responsibilities include :
- Participating in Child Safety Car Seat training
- Instructing agency staff, parents, and foster parents on the proper installation and usage of child safety car seats
- Overseeing the agency's Infant Safe Sleep Program
- Distributing Pack 'n' Plays to families lacking cribs
- Scheduling routine maintenance for county vehicles and ensuring your assigned vehicle remains clean and well-maintained.
