DESCRIPTION OF WORK
This role provides guided learning to help you develop the skills needed to support nursing staff and assist individuals with daily care.
As an Aide Trainee, you will perform the following duties:
- Classroom Training: Formal classroom instruction, computer-based training, reading assignments, and behavioral observation of individuals to build care knowledge
- Hands-On Learning: Gain experience through supervised on-the-job assignments
- Skill Development: Practice care techniques under close guidance from staff
- Observation Activities: Learn by watching behavioral and daily routines of individuals
- Progressive Tasks: Receive new responsibilities as your skills increase
Work Schedule and Additional Information:
- Full-time employment.
- 2nd shift (2:45 PM to 11:15 PM)
- Work h ours during training are 7:30 AM to 4:00 PM.
- Rotating schedule: 7 days on, 2 days off; 8 days on, 4 days off.
- Travel: As needed
- Overtime: Is required
- Shift work: No
- May change based on operational needs.

- Salary: Selected candidates who are new to employment within the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania will begin employment at the starting annual salary of $37,660.00 (before taxes).

QUALIFICATIONS
Minimum Experience and Training Requirements:
- No previous experience needed, training provided.

- Must be able to perform essential job functions.
- A conditional offer of employment will require satisfactory completion of a medical examination and drug screening test.
- This position falls under the provisions of the Older Adult Protective Services Act.
- Under the Act, a conditional offer of employment will require submission and approval of satisfactory criminal history reports, including but not limited to, PA State Police and FBI clearance.
