THE POSITION

DESCRIPTION OF WORK
In this role, you will perform semi-skilled maintenance and construction work. You may work independently or assist skilled trades staff to ensure park buildings, grounds, and facilities remain safe, clean, and welcoming for visitors.
Key responsibilities include:
- Assisting skilled maintenance staff with repairs to buildings and facilities using carpentry, electrical, plumbing, and other trade tools
- Operating, maintaining, and cleaning park vehicles and equipment
- Assisting with site preparation, seeding, planting, and maintaining trees and shrubs
- Painting or staining park buildings, signs, gates, and other structure
- Cleaning and sanitizing rental cottages, restrooms, pavilions, and other park buildings
- Ensuring the safe and proper use of all equipment, power tools, and hand tools

Work Schedule and Additional Information:
- This is a seasonal, full-time position with no healthcare benefits. There is not an option to buy into health care benefits. The season runs from approximately March 2026 until November 2026 at which time the employee will be placed on leave without pay. The employee will automatically be returned to employment approximately March 2027.
- Work shifts/days vary; will work 5 days/37.5 hours per week to include weekends and holidays.

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE, TRAINING & ELIGIBILITY
QUALIFICATIONS
Minimum Experience and Training Requirements:
- One year of experience in laboring work including the use of tools and equipment used in maintenance or construction; or
- An equivalent combination of experience and training.
