DESCRIPTION OF WORK
This position leads psychological services at the facility by supervising staff, guiding treatment efforts, and overseeing essential mental health programs. The role focuses on clinical leadership, program development, and ensuring accurate evaluations and documentation. As a Licensed Psychologist Manager, you will perform the following duties:
- Clinical Supervision: Direct and support subordinate psychological staff while overseeing evaluations, counseling, and crisis intervention
- Program Development: Guide the creation and improvement of psychological services programs and related policies
- Committee Leadership: Lead facility committees that address mental health needs, reviews, and treatment planning
- Test Review: Evaluate interpretations of psychological testing and ensure accurate diagnostic reporting
- Consultation Support: Advise staff on mental health concerns and participate in treatment planning across units
- Accreditation Compliance: Ensure psychological services meet required standards and prepare documentation for reviews

Work Schedule and Additional Information:
- Full-time employment, 37.5 hours per week
- Work hours are 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM, Monday - Friday, with 30 minute lunch.
- Telework: You will not have the option to telework in this position.
- Salary:In some cases, the starting salary may be non-negotiable.
- This position is eligible for full retirement benefits at age 50 or 55.

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE, TRAINING & ELIGIBILITY
QUALIFICATIONS
Minimum Experience and Training Requirements:
- One year as a Licensed Psychologist MH or Psychologist (Commonwealth job title or equivalent Federal Government job title, as determined by the Office of Administration); or
- One year of experience as a licensed professional psychologist in the treatment of inmates or individuals with mental illness, intellectual disabilities or behavioral dysfunction.
Special Requirement:
- You must be in possession of a valid license to practice psychology as issued by the Pennsylvania State Board of Psychology or possession of a valid license to practice psychology as issued by another state with licensure requirements acceptable to the Board. Applicants with out-of-state licensure must obtain Pennsylvania licensure within one year of employment.
Other Requirements:
- Successful completion of basic training in Elizabethtown, PA is required.
- PA residency requirement is currently waived for this title.
