THE POSITION
Work hours: Monday - Friday, 7:45 AM - 4:00 PM (37.5 hours per week)
Telework: You may have the opportunity to work from home (telework) part-time, up to 2 days per week. In order to telework, you must have a securely configured high-speed internet connection. If you are unable to telework, you will have the option to report to the headquarters office in Harrisburg.
DESCRIPTION OF WORK
This position provides guidance to the Employee Relations Coordinator and serves as a point of contact for the PGC Employee Relations program to offer guidance and support to employees, supervisors, managers and Sr. Staff regarding labor relations issues. This work includes consultation, grievance processing, investigation of disciplinary actions, conducting Labor Management meetings and providing training.

- Meet the minimum experience and training required for the job:
Two years of analytical experience that includes one year of professional human resource or equal opportunity experience, and a bachelor's degree; OR
An equivalent combination of experience and training.
- Be a resident of Pennsylvania.
- You must be eligible for selection in accordance with merit system employment regulations.
- You must be able to perform the essential functions.

This position is not subject to the promotion provisions of a collective bargaining agreement or memorandum of understanding.
- Minimum experience and training required for the job.
- Meritorious service; defined as (a) the absence of any discipline above the level of written reprimand during the 12 months preceding the closing date of the posting, and (b) the last due overall regular or probationary performance evaluation was higher than unsatisfactory or fails to meet standards.
- Seniority, defined as a minimum of one year (s) in the next lower class(es) by the posting closing date with no break in service.
