DESCRIPTION OF WORK
As an Equipment Operator A, you will transport individuals and staff to designated locations by operating assigned vehicles in accordance with applicable Commonwealth laws, Department of Public Works Policies, and Ebensburg Center Policies. You are expected to adhere to the transportation schedule in order to ensure clients are transported in a safe manner to the correct location within prescribed time frames. Additionally, this role transports bulk food heat retention trays and supplies to appropriate areas by following posted delivery schedules in order to meet scheduled mealtimes.

Work Schedule and Additional Information:
- Full-time employment
- The Department of Human Services provides excellent benefits, pay increases, paid leave and holidays, as well as opportunities for career advancement.
- Work hours are 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM, Monday - Friday, with a 30-minute lunch.
- Work hours may change based on operational needs.
- This position may require travel and overtime as needed.
- Telework: You will not have the option to telework in this position.
- Salary: In some cases, the starting salary may be non-negotiable.

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE, TRAINING & ELIGIBILITY
QUALIFICATIONS
Minimum Experience and Training Requirements:
- Six months experience in the operation and maintenance of large vans, buses and single-chassis trucks with a gross vehicle weight of 10,001 pounds or more.; or
- Any equivalent combination of experience and training.
Special Requirements:
- You must have possession of a valid Class C Pennsylvania driver's license.

- You must be able to perform essential job functions.
Legal Requirements:
- You must pass a background investigation.
- A conditional offer of employment will require a medical examination.

This position falls under the provisions of the Older Adult Protective Services Act.
