DESCRIPTION OF WORK

In this role, you will help customers complete driver licensing services by verifying information, entering data, and answering questions. You will also assist with testing, follow important regulations, and provide excellent customer service.
  • Assist Customers: Greet visitors, verify identification, help complete forms, and provide the correct brochures or information based on their needs.
  • Administer Tests: Give vision screenings and knowledge tests to applicants and enter their results into online systems.
  • Process Applications: Enter customer information into driver licensing software, handle REAL ID requirements, and produce restoration letters when requested.
  • Provide Service Guidance: Answer questions about renewals, duplicates, transfers, motorcycle licenses, CDL requirements, and other licensing services.
  • Follow Policies: Use correct fee waiver codes, protect customer information, follow customer service rules, and meet all REAL ID and Title VI requirements.
  • Support Center Operations: Maintain a clean and organized workspace, travel to other centers when needed, and complete all required training on time.

Work Schedule and Additional Information:
  • Full-time employment
  • Work hours are 8:15 AM to 4:45 PM, Tuesday - Saturday, with a 30-minute lunch.
  • Employees may be required to work overtime and travel to different Driver License Centers as necessary.
  • Telework: You will not have the option to telework in this position.
  • Salary: In some cases, the starting salary may be non-negotiable.

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE, TRAINING & ELIGIBILITY

QUALIFICATIONS
Minimum Experience and Training Requirements:
  • One year of experience obtaining, evaluating, and providing information to the public.

Other Requirements:

  • You must be able to perform essential job functions.

  • This position requires the selected candidate to undergo and pass a Fingerprint and Name-Based Criminal History Check prior to employment.
