THE POSITION

DESCRIPTION OF WORK
This role focuses on receiving, storing, and distributing inventory and commissary items that support daily facility operations. As a Corrections Stock Clerk, you will perform the following duties:
- Inventory Handling: Receive, inspect, store, and distribute stock while maintaining accurate delivery logs
- Commissary Processing: Manage inmate orders by verifying account balances, staging items, and recording transactions
- Inmate Oversight: Direct inmate workers by assigning tasks, providing training, and monitoring attendance and performance
- Security Practices: Conduct searches, safeguard materials, and maintain a clean and secure work area
- Equipment Operation: Operate forklifts, hand trucks, and delivery vehicles to move oversized or heavy items
- Record Maintenance: Compile reports, track inventory data, and document shortages or damaged goods

Work Schedule and Additional Information:
- Full-time employment, 40 hours per week
- Work hours are 7:00 AM to 3:00 PM, Monday - Friday, with a 30-minute lunch.
- This position is eligible for full retirement benefits at age 50 or 55.
- Telework: You will not have the option to telework in this position.
- Salary: In some cases, the starting salary may be non-negotiable.

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE, TRAINING & ELIGIBILITY
QUALIFICATIONS
Minimum Experience and Training Requirements:
- One year of stockroom, warehouse, retail sales, or clerical experience; or
- An equivalent combination of experience and training.
Special Requirements:
- You must possess an active motor vehicle license.
Additional Requirements:
- Successful completion of basic training in Elizabethtown, PA is required.
- You must be able to perform essential job functions.

- You must pass a background investigation and meet Criminal Justice Information Services (CJIS) compliance requirements..
