DESCRIPTION OF WORK
This role supports daily scheduling, communication, and clerical operations within the department. It helps maintain organized records and ensures that staff have accurate information for each shift.
As a Clerical Assistant 2, you will perform the following duties:

- Schedule Management: Handle overtime calls, update coverage sheets, and enter schedule changes
- Data Updates: Maintain accurate computer files by adding employees, changing templates, and updating personnel information
- Daily Assignments: Prepare assignment sheets and verify accuracy using bi weekly schedules
- Communication Support: Answer calls courteously and direct callers to the appropriate staff

Work Schedule and Additional Information:
- Full-time employment, 37.5 hours per week.
- Work hours are 7:00 AM to 3:30 PM, Monday-Friday with a 1-hour lunch.
- Shift may change based on operational needs.
- Overtime hours as needed.

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE, TRAINING & ELIGIBILITY
QUALIFICATIONS
Minimum Experience and Training Requirements:
- Six months as a Clerical Assistant 1 (Commonwealth job title or equivalent Federal Government job title, as determined by the Office of Administration); or
- Graduation from high school; or
- An equivalent combination of experience and training.

Legal Requirements:
- A conditional offer of employment will require a medical examination.
- This position falls under the provisions of the Older Adult Protective Services Act.
- Under the Act, a conditional offer of employment will require submission and approval of satisfactory criminal history reports, including but not limited to, PA State Police and FBI clearance.
