DESCRIPTION OF WORK
The Clerical Assistant 2 in this position will perform a variety of clerical duties in support of the overall goals and objectives of the Nursing Department. The Central Nursing Office is the communication center for approximately 400 civil / forensic employees and three patient care buildings. Contacts employees for overtime for the buildings, while assuring equalization of employees who are on the voluntary overtime list and records this on the daily coverage sheets. Schedules and processes the information on the computer system. Inputs the schedules bi-weekly, enters deviations on the computer and prints out new schedules for posting. The employee in this position will work under the supervision of the Clerical Supervisor 2 in charge of centralized scheduling.

Work Schedule and Additional Information:
- Full-time employment, 37.5 hours per week.
- Work hours are 7:00 AM to 3:30 PM, Monday thru Friday with a 1-hour lunch.
- Shift may change based on operational needs.
- Overtime hours as needed.

- Salary: Selected candidates who are new to employment within the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania will begin employment at the starting salary of $36,108 (before taxes).

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE, TRAINING & ELIGIBILITY
- Six months as a Clerical Assistant 1 (Commonwealth job title or equivalent Federal Government job title, as determined by the Office of Administration); or
- Graduation from high school; or
- An equivalent combination of experience and training.
Other Requirements:

Legal Requirements:
This position falls under the provisions of the Older Adult Protective Services Act.
Under the Act, a conditional offer of employment will require submission and approval of satisfactory criminal history reports, including but not limited to, PA State Police and FBI clearance.
A conditional offer of employment will require a medical examination.
