DESCRIPTION OF WORK
As an Aide Trainee, you will be responsible and accountable for learning the duties of a Residential Services Aide and begin with a paid in-classroom and on-the-job training program. You will learn how to care for and assist people with Intellectual Disabilities living at the Selinsgrove Center. Upon successful completion of a six-month probationary period as an Aide Trainee, you will be promoted to a Residential Services Aide.
As an Aide Trainee, you will perform the following duties:
- ISP Support: Assist with completing assigned portions of assessments and planning documents to ensure accurate information
- Training Implementation: Conduct assigned training activities to help individuals learn daily living skills
- Progress Monitoring: Record and report information to support updates and improvements to each individual’s support plan
- Team Participation: Share observations and insights with team members to support coordinated care
- Environmental Support: Help maintain a safe, comfortable, and therapeutic living environment
- Advocacy and Respect: Model appropriate behavior and uphold individual rights and dignity
Work Schedule and Additional Information:
- Full-time employment.
- Work hours during training: 1st shift 8:00am - 4:30pm
- Work hours after training: 1st shift 6:00am - 2:30pm, with a 30 minute lunch
- Work hours after training: 2nd shift 2:00pm - 10:30pm, with a 30 minute lunch.
- Rotating break day with every third weekend off.
- Travel and overtime as needed.
- Multiple positions may be filled from this posting.

- Salary:Selected candidates who are new to employment within the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania will begin employment at the starting annual salary of $39,245.00 (before taxes).
