Key Responsibilities
EDUCATION: Graduate of a college or university with a bachelor's degree.
EXPERIENCE, TRAINING, OR SKILLS: Four years of experience in area of safety operations or inspection, incident management, or emergency services.
Substitute EDUCATION for EXPERIENCE: NONE
Substitute EXPERIENCE for EDUCATION: Additional administrative, safety operations and/or inspection, incident management, or emergency services experience will substitute for the required education on a year-for-year basis.
SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS (AGE, LICENSURE, REGULATION, ETC.): NONE
Working Conditions
Incumbent must be able to make oral presentations. Travel may be required.

Key Responsibilities
- Implement strategies, policies and procedures related to safety and emergency planning.
- Provide oversight, expertise, functional supervision and technical guidance in safety and emergency management.
- Develop Emergency Operating Procedures for KSD by working with local first responders, collaborate with Universities and other Deaf Schools.
- Service as liaison between KSD and local, state and federal agencies to ensure compliance with all pertinent statutes and regulations related to safety and operations.
- Prepare, implement and adhere to safety program policy and procedures for compliance with OSHA requirements.
- Review accident and inspection reports for corrective actions, if required.
- Conduct special safety investigations.
- Conduct analysis of evacuation drills and plans for continuous improvement.
- Perform other duties as assigned
