The Shelby County Circuit Court Clerk's Office has an immediate opening for a Deputy Clerk Position.
Duties and responsibilities include, but are not limited to the following:

The Shelby County Circuit Court Clerk's Office has an immediate opening for a Deputy Clerk Position.
Duties and responsibilities include, but are not limited to the following:
- Entry of accurate data into Court of Justice case management system.
- File and retrieve legal documents and court records.
- Notify counsel of record/parties as necessary.
- Assist public concerning the status of court cases.
- Attend court and serve as a bench clerk.
- Collect fines and fees as necessary.
- Other duties as assigned.
Minimum Requirements
EDUCATION: Associates Degree
EXPERIENCE, TRAINING, OR SKILLS: NONE
Substitute EDUCATION for EXPERIENCE: NONE
Substitute EXPERIENCE for EDUCATION: High School Degree w/2 years of job-related experience
SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS (AGE, LICENSURE, REGULATION, ETC.): High School graduate or GED - proof of education required
Working Conditions
Requires the ability to communicate effectively using speech, vision and hearing. Also, work requires the use of hands for simple grasping and fine manipulations. The work at times requires bending, squatting, reaching, with the ability to lift, carry, push or pull weights up to 20 pounds.
