Commonwealth Law Enforcement Services is NOW HIRING both FULL-TIME and PART-TIME DCJS Certified (And NON-CERTIFIED) Security Officers in Newport News & Hampton VA areas. Evenings / Weekends shifts are available at all locations as our agency is quickly growing.
Agency offers PAID TRAINING for both initial certification and recertification training.
The pay for this position starts higher than market average with opportunities to earn more on specific posts, on holidays, and through occasional overtime. JOB DESCRIPTION & REQUIREMENTS. For this UNARMED / ARMED Trainee Position you must have and be willing to obtain and maintain the DCJS registered armed security officer certification within 60 days of being hired. After probationary period, with training agreement company will provide duty gear and weapon for use on the job (if needed).
- Patrolling private communities (HOAs & Apartment Communities) to provide security presence during the EVENING / EARLY MORNING hours.
- Detecting suspicious activity and threats to property or people
- Watching for criminal activity and responding based on your training from Commonwealth Law Enforcement Services.
- Daily reporting of all incidents, accidents or medical emergencies.'

Schedule:
- 8 hour shift
- Evening shift
- Weekends as needed
Application Question(s):
- Most of the shifts are 8 hours and scheduled randomly between 3pm-3am. This includes working weekends Fridays & Saturdays. Shift Examples: 5pm-1am or 6pm-2am. Do you have the open availability to work these shifts?
