Position Overview

Full-Time Armed Security Officer – Monday–Friday Day Shift

Commonwealth Law Enforcement Services is currently accepting applications for one full-time Armed Security Officer assigned to a warehouse/manufacturing facility in Norfolk, Virginia.

This is a permanent, full-time weekday position with a consistent schedule and weekends off.

Schedule

Monday – Friday
7:00 AM – 4:30 PM
1-hour lunch break
Approximately 42.5 hours per week
Saturday & Sunday - OFF

Position Overview

The Armed Security Officer will be responsible for providing professional security services at an established warehouse/manufacturing facility. This position involves maintaining a visible security presence, monitoring access to the property, conducting routine patrols, interacting professionally with employees and visitors, and responding appropriately to security-related incidents.

This is a professional corporate/industrial environment and requires an officer who is dependable, mature, professional, and comfortable working independently.

Primary Responsibilities

• Provide armed security coverage for the assigned facility
• Monitor employee, visitor, vendor, and vehicle access
• Maintain a professional and visible security presence
• Conduct routine interior and exterior patrols
• Observe and report suspicious or unusual activity
• Respond to security-related incidents as necessary
• Complete daily activity and incident reports
• Communicate professionally with facility management, employees, visitors, and CLES supervision
• Follow all client-specific security procedures and post orders

Minimum Requirements

Applicants MUST have a current Virginia DCJS Armed Security Officer Registration.

Applicants must also:

• Be legally eligible to work as an armed security officer in Virginia
• Possess a valid driver's license and reliable transportation
• Have reliable attendance and the ability to consistently report for a 7:00 AM shift
• Maintain a professional appearance and demeanor
• Possess strong communication and report-writing skills
• Be able to work independently with limited supervision
• Successfully complete all company hiring and screening requirements

Applicants who do not currently possess a valid Virginia DCJS Armed Registration along with a Valid Driver's License will not be considered for this position.
