Role Description
Are you a motivated, patient-focused Dental Assistant looking to join a friendly and professional team? We are seeking a reliable and energetic individual to help deliver exceptional care in our growing dental practice.
This is a full-time, on-site role based in Chester, VA for a Dental Assistant. The Dental Assistant will support dentists during dental treatments, ensure the sterilization of instruments, prepare patients for procedures, and provide outstanding oral care. Additional responsibilities include maintaining patient records, explaining post-treatment care, and supporting the overall efficiency of the dental practice with administrative and clinical tasks.
Responsibilities:
• Assist the dentist during a variety of treatment procedures
• Prepare and sterilize instruments and treatment rooms
• Take dental radiographs (X-rays)
• Ensure patients are comfortable and informed throughout their visit
• Maintain accurate patient records and assist with charting
• Follow all OSHA and infection control protocols
Qualifications
- Previous dental assisting experience preferred (but willing to train the right candidate)
- X-ray certification
- Proficiency in Dental Care, Oral Care, and Dental Assisting
- Experience and knowledge in Dentistry and related techniques
- Understanding and practice of Sterilization procedures
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills with a warm and caring attitude
- Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced, patient-centered, team environment
- Organized, detail-oriented, and dependable
- Certification as a Dental Assistant or relevant hands-on experience
- CPR and First Aid certification is highly beneficial
