Position Summary:
CommonWealth Credit Union is Kankakee County’s original Credit Union, proudly serving the community for 75 years!
The Member Services Representative (MSR) plays a key role in delivering exceptional service to credit union members by assisting with a wide range of financial services. This position is responsible for opening and maintaining member accounts, addressing debit card concerns, answering account inquiries, and providing personalized financial solutions. The MSR builds strong relationships with members by understanding their needs and recommending credit union products and services to help them achieve their financial goals.
Responsibilities:
- Provide outstanding service to members in-person, over the phone, and through digital channels by handling requests accurately and efficiently.
- Open new accounts, including checking, savings, certificates, IRAs, and other deposit products, ensuring proper documentation and compliance.
- Respond to member inquiries regarding account activity, balances, rates, and policies.
- Assist members with debit card services, including fraud.
- Identify member needs and actively promote credit union products and services to improve their financial well-being.
- Comply with all credit union policies, procedures, and federal regulations
- Resolve member issues and escalate complex situations to management.
- Participate in ongoing training and development.
- Contribute to a positive team environment
- Serve as support staff for teller line if needed.
- Other duties as assigned.
Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent (GED) required.
- Previous experience in financial services or customer service is preferred.
- Strong knowledge of deposit accounts, debit card operations, and fraud prevention.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with a focus on member service.
- Ability to handle multiple tasks and work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Proficiency in using computers and office equipment.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and exercise sound judgment.
Schedule:
· Full Time
· Varying schedule between Monday-Saturday
Pay: $17.00 - $25.00 per hour
