Job Summary
Join our dynamic team as a Cultivation Technician and become a vital part of our innovative cultivation operation! In this energetic role, you will support the growth and maintenance of high-quality plants through hands-on cultivation practices. This position involves performing essential cultivation tasks—including watering, feeding, pruning, cloning, cleaning, and transplanting—while maintaining compliance with all regulations and internal protocols.
Responsibilities:
- Assist in harvesting plant material on schedule, including drying and de-stemming.
- Tend to plants by watering, repotting, training, and moving plant material and green waste.
- Monitor plant health and report any conditions that may affect growth or development.
- Perform sanitation and decontamination tasks, including propagation, transplantation, trimming, and harvesting, with a focus on productivity and yield optimization.
- Scout for pests and other threats, identifying issues early to prevent crop damage.
- Wash, sanitize, and inspect all tools and equipment to ensure they are free from pests, viruses, and diseases.
- Accurately label plants and maintain consistent inventory records.
- Complete all required documentation with accurate and timely information.
- Support various cultivation tasks as needed, including assisting other departments (e.g., packaging), moving supplies, and working at alternate locations.
- Continue learning about cannabis strains, products, and industry trends during downtime.
- Adhere to all safety protocols and wear appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE).
- Comply with all Massachusetts state cannabis regulations and company compliance standards.
- Demonstrate professionalism, ethical behavior, and a positive attitude while fostering strong team relationships.
- Work efficiently in a team environment, multitask, and adapt quickly to changing priorities.
- Take ownership of tasks, show initiative, and maintain high standards of work.
- Analyze and troubleshoot plant health or product issues with attention to detail.
- Adapt to changes in policies, procedures, and cultivation techniques as needed.

Requirements:
- Must be at least 21 years old.
- High School Diploma or GED required.
- Basic understanding of cultivation, horticulture, or agriculture.
- Basic computer skills, including email, word processing, and spreadsheets.
- 1 years of experience growing live goods. (preferred)
- Experience with a large-scale, indoor grow operation. (preferred)
- Familiarity with growing techniques such as germination, cloning, and transplantation. (a plus)
- Ability to work a flexible schedule, including days, nights, weekends, and holidays, based on departmental needs.
- Every job applicant must pass a comprehensive background check, including the mandates of the Massachusetts Cannabis Control Commission. A job offer issued before completion of a background check is contingent upon a positive result. A negative background check result may result in the withdrawal of a job offer.
Working Conditions / Physical Demands:
- Must be able to lift up to 65 pounds and repeatedly carry 15–20 pounds across the warehouse or greenhouse.
- Ability to maneuver between growing tables spaced 24 inches apart.
- Capable of standing for extended periods and performing physical tasks such as kneeling, stooping, bending, and twisting in confined spaces.
- Comfortable working in hot, humid environments with exposure to dust, allergens, and water.
- Frequent and repetitive use of hands for tasks including pruning, transplanting, and equipment handling.
