Job Summary and Responsibilities
This is a remote position with travel required.
This management position is accountable for supporting and developing the national clinical informatics staff as they support both clinical integration and project deliverables. Provides expert consultation to business leaders at the divisional and system level.
- Manages people, projects and/or tasks collaboratively and coaches others to achieve optimal performance; delegates effectively; defines clear roles and responsibilities; sets goals and leads initiatives while adjusting plan as necessary.
- Empowers and shares authority and responsibility with others while holding staff accountable.
- Manages daily operations of system level team of expert informaticists in consultative activities with key business owners throughout the organization to define new requirements for clinical application solutions and optimization that are aimed at performance and quality of care improvement.
- Provide guidance and direction to staff regarding change management principles and ensures appropriate communication and collaboration of clinical informatics staff and CommonSpirit Health leadership across all divisions.
- Develops methods for measuring key project metrics and collaborates with system, hospital and project leadership to assess and report findings related to all optimization activities underway within the Clinical Informatics Department. Ensures efficient use of resources to achieve financial targets. Ensures Clinical Informatics staff incorporate data and analytics to drive decision making and provides guidance and consultation to hospitals regarding performance indicators and mitigation plans.
- Uses change management strategies throughout the planning and implementation process to ensure success of all optimization projects and requests across CommonSpirit Health by providing leadership to staff and consultation to managers and directors during the introduction of new technology by the effective execution of the project plan and achievement of the desired goals.
Job Requirements
Required Education and Experience
- Bachelor's required
- At least 3 years of leadhership experience required and 7 years of clinical experience is preferred
- Active clinical license or certification such as RN, Pharmacist, PT/OT, SLP, certified MA, LVN/LPN
