What you'll do:
- Prepare & Maintain: Set up procedure rooms with all necessary instrumentation, equipment, and supplies.
- Sterile Expertise: Demonstrate mastery of sterile technique, sterilization processes, environmental controls, and instrument decontamination.
- Team Support: Establish and maintain an organized sterile field, ensuring all team members adhere to sterile environment protocols.
- Surgical Assistance: Assist surgeons by providing visualization of the surgical wound, aiding with wound closure, and applying sterile dressings.
- Anatomy & Instrumentation: Apply your knowledge of anatomy and physiology relevant to surgical procedures, and advance your understanding of instrumentation across various surgical services.
- Accuracy & Safety: Perform accurate sponge, needle, and instrument counts according to established procedures.
What we're looking for:
- A Certified Surgical Technician (CST).
- Strong understanding of sterile technique and surgical procedures.
- Detail-oriented with a commitment to patient safety and surgical efficiency.
- Ability to work effectively as part of a collaborative surgical team.
