Job Summary and Responsibilities

As our RN Clinical Coordinator, you will actively support the department director/manager by coordinating clinical and department activities for the unit, serving as a vital clinical resource and professional role model.

 

Every day you will demonstrate strong clinical judgment, ensure high-quality care delivery, act as a crucial link between physicians and the patient care team, authorize work procedures, assign duties, manage as shift charge, and actively take patient assignments based on unit needs and acuity, all while promoting patient well-being and adhering to professional standards.

 

To be successful in this role, you will be a Registered Nurse with exceptional clinical skills, strong leadership potential, superior communication and collaboration abilities, and an unwavering commitment to ethical practice, quality patient care, and a supportive team environment.

  • Assesses patient’s physical, psychosocial, cultural and spiritual needs through observation, interview, review of medical records & clinical data. Evaluates patient’s response and intervenes to ensure optimal patient outcome.
  • Develop and implement patient plan of care and observe outcomes in accordance with nursing standards and in collaboration with the interdisciplinary team.
  • Provides leadership, support, and coordination of unit’s daily operations during designated shift.
  • Assists in directing, organizing, and prioritizing all shift activities ensuring patient care and staff needs are met.
  • Ensures appropriateness of admissions/cases to the unit/department and that appropriate staff skill mix exists to provide safe patient care.
  • Liaison to the multidisciplinary patient care team.

We are offering a $20,000 sign-on bonus in addition, up to $8,000 relocation assistance to new hires who meet the eligibility requirements. 

 

The schedule for this position is three 12 hour shifts per week with rotating weekends and holidays.

Job Requirements

Required

  • Associates Degree in Nursing or by endorsement
  • One (1) year of clinical RN experience.
  • RN license to practice in state of employment as applicable.

Preferred

  • Bachelor's Degree in Nursing
  • Nursing Specialty Certification

The 6th Floor Acute Care Unit at St. Anthony Hospital is a dynamic, 36-bed Magnet®-designated unit with a clinical speciality on trauma and oncology care. Our team specializes in treating patients with blunt abdominal, chest, and orthopedic injuries—often resulting from motor vehicle accidents, falls, and outdoor activities common to our region.  We also provide comprehensive care for oncology patients, including chemotherapy administration and management of neutropenic conditions, which currently represent approximately 10% of our patient population. Our mission is to deliver exceptional, patient-centered care in a safe, supportive, and engaging environment. We foster a culture of positivity through daily recognition, team-building initiatives, and a strong commitment to professional development. As a designated education unit, we proudly support the growth of future nurses by actively engaging in student nurse education and mentorship.

 

Located in Lakewood, Colorado, St. Anthony Hospital is a Level I Trauma Center where we provide a full range of medical specialties and health care services to Denver and the surrounding region through our state-of-the-art medical campus and home base for Flight For Life® Colorado. With four trauma rooms including the T-10 room, a dedicated field-to-surgery suite ready 24/7 for trauma surgeons and specially trained teams, our staff can provide life-saving care to the most severely ill and injured patients.
