*Job Summary and Responsibilities*

Obtains moderately complex financial information regarding patients from various sources to obtain payment

plan agreements and Medicare coverage.

• Interviews customers for data retrieval
• Abstracts medical information necessary from the mother's and baby's chart for completion of the birth
  
  

certificate form

• Retains and understands federal, state, and county regulations as it pertains to birth registry
• Completes Paternity Acknowledgements submitted to the state
• Locates and orders medical charts when necessary
• Reports Immunizations via EBC program
• Must Attend appropriate courses for Birth Registrar

High School Graduate/GED

Six months of customer service experience in finance, physician office or clinic, insurance, banking, etc.

Basic Life Support - CPR

One year relevant experience in hospital environment
