Job SummaryProvide quality patient care to all patients within the medical imaging department. Perform high qualityimages and exams on patients while maintaining the sensitivity to patient needs. Follows standards ofsafe radiation practice. Demonstrates leadership abilities and is a role model for other associatetechnologists. Acts as a clinical resource to students, staff technologist and other hospital personnel.Assures current standards of practice for the unit.

Education RequirementsDegree Specialty RequiredHigh School Diploma/G.E.D. Required
Associate Degree PreferredBachelor Degree Preferred
Minimum Experience RequirementsKnowledgeable in all aspects of Diagnostic Imaging to include Surgery and Trauma as requiredPrevious Radiologic Technologist experience preferredOne year post certification experience required to evaluate and/or instruct student radiographers
License/Certifications RequirementCredential Source Required/Preferred Comments
American Registry of Radiologic Technologists
Required ARRT-R: RegisteredTechnologist, Radiology - R.T. (R) (ARRT)
Required Current Basic Life Support from American Heart Association
American Registry of Radiologic Technologists Required ARRT-BD: Bone Density certification preferred within6 months of hire, if applicable to entity LRT; Kansas LRT, required (applicable entities)
