Job Summary and Responsibilities
The incumbent performs general radiographic procedures as well as more complex procedures according to written or transcribed verbal orders of a physician within the scope of his/her certification. Demonstrates competency in patient care for neonate, pediatric, adult, and geriatric patients. Technologist are required to participate in the department's call schedule to ensure coverage of weeknights, weekends and holidays. May access medication storage areas in accordance with their job function and hospital policy.
As our Special Proc Technologist, you will be a vital clinical professional, applying specialized X-ray energy for patient diagnosis or treatment. Every day, you'll meticulously perform complex radiological procedures and techniques, producing high-quality images for interpretation by licensed practitioners. You'll ensure patient safety, comfort, and accurate positioning, operating advanced equipment with precision and upholding imaging standards. To be successful, you'll combine strong technical expertise with exceptional attention to detail, a deep understanding of radiation safety, and a compassionate, patient-focused approach, contributing to accurate diagnoses and effective treatment.
Job Requirements
- Five (5) years or a combination of education and experience.
- Medical Radiographer: CA.
- Fluoroscopy Radiology Tech: CA.
- Basic Life Support from American Heart Association.
Preferred
- Registered Technologist Radiography ARRT.
