Job Summary and Responsibilities
As a Paramedic, you will provide advanced emergency medical care and transport to critically ill or injured patients in pre-hospital and inter-facility settings.
Every day you will rapidly assess scenes, evaluate conditions, and administer life-saving interventions, while safely operating emergency vehicles and documenting care.
To be successful, you will demonstrate expert clinical skills, exceptional critical thinking under stress, and compassionate communication, ensuring optimal patient outcomes.
Maintains established policies, procedures, objectives, quality improvement program and safety standards
Performs patient systems assessment/data collection in an ongoing and systematic manner
Enters patient data into computerized patient care reporting system so that there are no deficiencies
Performs direct patient care and implements patient care in a knowledgeable, skillful, and consistent manner while administering medications and performing procedures consistent with EMT certification
Administers medications and performs procedures consistent with Paramedic certification and selected S-SV EMS treatment protocols
Participates in problem identification and patient care planning
Job Requirements
Minimum Qualifications:
Six months experience as a paramedic with an accredited EMS agency or Fire Department
Hiring manager may consider the applicants field internship as qualifying experience if the preceptorship was completed at a Dignity Health North Service Area facility and successfully completed
Driver's License: CA, upon hire
Certified Ambulance Driver: CA, upon hire
Basic Life Support - CPR, ACLS, PALS, Upon Hire (Must be through the American Heart Association)
CDMC, upon hire
Emergency Medical Technician Paramedic: CA, upon hire
Local Paramedic Accrediated, upon hire
