Responsibilities
- The technologist is primarily responsible for performing mammography studies.
- Assist physicians with interventional imaging procedures, starting IV's, and injecting contrast, if applicable.
- Evaluate radiographs for diagnostic quality obtaining additional images as needed.
- Communicates effectively with patients and their families about the procedure to be performed in order to obtain information and to offer reassurance.
- Perform the quality control functions related to mammography.
Qualifications
- Completion of Accredited Radiology program
- (2) Two years of imaging experience
- ARRT(R), ARRT(M)
- MRT - TX
- BLS-CPR Card
