Job Summary and Responsibilities
Under the general direction of the Home Health Supervisor, develops a home care plan of instructing patient, family/caregivers and other nurses to implement the plan for therapeutic treatment and rehabilitation of the speech impaired. Responsible for maintaining confidentiality per Mercy-Memorial Home Health's administrative policy.
Job Requirements
Minimum Qualifications:
- One year of clinical experience with direct patient contact
- CA Speech Therapist License
- BLS required (AHA)
- Car Insurance/Auto Insurance
- Ability to read analyze and interpret hospital/agency policies and procedures professional journals technical procedures or governmental regulations
- Ability to write reports and procedures and document in the medical record
- Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from co-workers managers patients physicians family members and the general public
- Must be able to read write and speak English proficiently
Please be advised that this location requires quarterly American Heart Association (AHA) Resuscitation Quality Improvement (RQI) competency certification post-hire. This ongoing competency is required through resources internal to the facility; outside RQI competency resources are not acceptable for CommonSpirit Health compliance requirements.
