$27.01 - $33.83 /hour

- Provides direct patient care under the supervision of a licensed nurse within the scope of practice of a nursing assistant. Includes: activities of daily living, vital signs, lab draws, EKG's, ambulation, meals and routine treatment procedures. Demonstrates proficiency in phlebotomy and EKG's. Able to assist physician with procedures as necessary.
- Reports all observed symptoms, reactions, treatments, and changes in the patient's condition to the licensed nurse.
- Records patient care measures and treatments given on the patient's electronic medical record.
- Performs EKG's on all chest pain patients.
- Assist patient with toilet needs
- Provide bedpan, urinal or commode
Required
- High School Graduate, General Studies or equivalent technical training., upon hire or
- High School GED, General Studies or equivalent technical training., upon hire and
- 1-2 years of acute care experience and
- Certified Nursing Assistant: CA, upon hire or
- Licensed Vocational Nurse: CA, upon hire or
- Emergency Medical Technician: CA, upon hire and
- Basic Life Support - CPR, upon hire
- 1-2 years of emergency department experience (or at least 1-2 years Pre-Hospital EMT or Paramedic experience)
