The posted compensation range of $19.44 - $27.45 /hour is a reasonable estimate that extends from the lowest to the highest pay CommonSpirit in good faith believes it might pay for this particular job, based on the circumstances at the time of posting. Job Summary and Responsibilities
As our X-ray Tech, you will perform general and complex radiographic procedures to produce high-quality diagnostic images within your certification.
Every day you will independently assess, perform, and document a broad range of imaging procedures, ensuring patient identification, comfort, and safety. You'll maintain equipment and a clean work area, complete all necessary charging and records, and participate in the department's call schedule and quality initiatives.
To be successful in this role, you will demonstrate competency across all patient age groups, adhere to established standards, and exhibit excellent attention to detail, patient care, and quality imaging.
Assist with diagnostic tests and clinical procedures to appropriate level of training and established procedures
Administer ordered medications via oral, subcutaneous, intramuscular or intra-dermal routes.
Prepare, clean and sterilize instruments and maintain equipment; keep patient exam rooms clean and orderly; dispose of contaminated items according to the Exposure Control Plan; anticipate Practitioner's needs for medications, supplies and equipment and plan accordingly.
Actively participate in continuing education, required meetings and participates in committees as requested.
Uses Standard Precautions including personal protective equipment for anticipated contact with blood or other potentially infectious materials.
Demonstrated knowledge of examination, diagnostic and treatment room procedures.
Job Requirements
Required Education and Experience
High School Diploma required.
Completion of a Certified Medical Assistant course or Exam.
In the state of GA, completion of a six hour radiation safety course.
In the state of TN, be a Graduate of an accredited Limited Radiology Technology training program required.
In the state of TN, Completion of Non-Certified Radiologic Technician Limited Scope of Practice in Radiography exam issued by ARRT in one of the following modalities required. - Head, Sinus, Chest, Spine or Extremities
