Job Summary and Responsibilities
As a Cardiovascular Technologist, you will be at the forefront of cardiac care, utilizing cutting-edge imaging technology to directly impact life-saving diagnostic and interventional procedures.
Every day, you will expertly perform specialized interventional diagnostic and therapeutic examinations of the heart and blood vessels under physician guidance, meticulously preparing patients, operating advanced radiologic equipment, and contributing critical data for interpretation. You'll ensure the safe, efficient operation of all equipment while maintaining mastery of our latest standards and protocols.
To be successful in this role, you will combine advanced technical proficiency in cardiovascular imaging with a meticulous eye for detail, a commitment to patient safety, and a drive for continuous learning within a dynamic and collaborative Cath Lab team.
- Able to examine labs and H&P to determine complications that may arise during the case.
- Determines the need for restraint devices needed for patient safety or patient positioning.
- Recognizes changes in hemodynamics, ECG, and pulse oximetry.
- Recognizes changes in patient condition during course of procedure.
- Determines if current medications, past procedures, future scheduled procedures, or medical history could impact the plan of care and bringing this information to the attention of the physician.
- Accurately documents procedures performed in the Cath and EP Lab.
Job Requirements
Required
- ARRT Licensed Radiological Technologist education. and 5 years clinical experience in the Cardiac Cath lab/EP lab with advanced training in associated procedures., upon hire
- Basic Life Support - CPR, within 90 Days and
- Advanced Cardiac Life Support, within 6 - months
Preferred
- Registered Cardiovascular Invasive Specialist, upon hire or
