What are the responsibilities and job description for the Venue Manager position at Common Sense Events?
Common Sense Events Inc has an opening for a part-time Venue Manager.
Strong customer service/hospitality skills with a background in events coordination will be needed to assist in the creation of memorable events at our beautiful venue.
The ideal candidate should be a reliable professional with a responsible attitude and the ability to take direction. At times, this high-energy position may require you to wear many hats and handle high-stress situations, while other times will be filled with administrative duties.
We are seeking a candidate possessing the following qualifications:
o College degree preferred (or in the process)
o 21 years of age or older
o Previous events planning/coordination in the hospitality industry
o Excellent organizational skills, attention to detail, and verbal skills
o Available to work varied hours, including weekends and holidays
o Strong verbal and written communication skills
Preferred Qualifications:
o Knowledge of events industry or combination of events and hospitality industry
o Wedding venue experience
o Solid understanding of social media platforms, specifically, Instagram, Facebook, Pinterest, Twitter, etc.
o PC/Mac skills including, Google Drive, Honeybook, Slack, WhatsApp, Asana, Google Docs , etc.
Physical Requirements:
o Able to lift and carry up to 40 lbs. and is comfortable with some menial labor
o Able to stand for extended periods of time

Salary : $42,000 - $72,000
