What You’ll Do
- Conduct one-on-one coaching sessions with Getting Ahead graduates to identify goals, strengths, and areas for growth.
- Perform proactive outreach to recent graduates via phone, text, and email to identify participants for the coaching program.
- Develop personalized coaching plans tailored to each individual’s unique needs and aspirations.
- Support the Volunteer Ally program by recruiting Allies, managing matches, and providing training to create greater social capital for participants.
- Track and document progress through regular feedback and performance metrics to assess program impact.
- Collaborate with the Economic Empowerment Director on program development, strategy, recruiting for Economic Empowerment programs and coaching, and community engagement.
- Proven experience as a Success Coach, Life Coach, or in a similar human services or nonprofit role.
- Strong relationship-building skills, including active listening and the ability to empathize with the challenges of poverty.
- Knowledge of coaching methodologies and an understanding of Bridges Out of Poverty constructs.
- Ability to remain calm, grounded, and respectful in difficult situations while maintaining healthy boundaries.
- Lived experience of poverty or food insecurity is a significant plus.
- High level of initiative and the ability to work both independently and as part of a collaborative team.
- Strong organizational, communication, and follow-through skills.
- Alignment with Common Heart core values of Intentional Kindness, Active Engagement, Initiative, Collaboration and Servant Leadership and Bridges Out of Poverty constructs.
- Education BA/BS preferred.
- Certified Life Coach credential preferred.
- A good sense of humor and a deep commitment to the mission, vision, and values of Common Heart and our small revolution of kindness.
This is a 20 hour a week part time position.
- Must have reliable transportation and a valid driver’s license.
- A background check, reference check and drug screening is required for this position.
Salary : $17 - $20
