Duties
- Prepare a variety of deli items, including cheeses, salads, and prepared foods, with precision and food safety in mind
- Operate POS systems such as Clover and process transactions efficiently and accurately
- Provide friendly customer service by assisting shoppers with product selections, answering questions, and offering upselling suggestions to enhance their experience
- Maintain cleanliness and sanitation standards by regularly cleaning workstations, utensils, and food handling areas in compliance with health regulations
- Restock shelves, organize displays, and manage inventory to ensure product availability and freshness
- Handle cash transactions accurately, including cash handling and cashiering duties, while balancing registers at the end of shifts
- Support food preparation tasks such as packaging, and assembling deli products in a quick-service environment
Experience
- Previous experience in food preparation or working in a quick-service or fast-food restaurant is highly preferred
- Familiarity with POS systems like Clover and training, if necessary, is advantageous
- Strong customer service skills with the ability to upsell products confidently and professionally
- Knowledge of food safety standards, sanitation practices, and proper food handling procedures. Preferably ServSafe Certified. Will train if necessary
- Experience working in a retail grocery store or food industry environment is a plus
- Excellent time management skills to handle multiple tasks efficiently during busy hours
- Must have reliable transportation and a valid driver's license
- Must be dependable
- Basic math skills for cash handling, retail math calculations, and inventory management
- Shift 7 am-3 pm full-time Mon-Fri

Pay: $17.00 - $18.00 per hour
