About This Role
Every position at Common Citizen contributes to our mission of providing Michigan citizens with the highest quality, safest cannabis products. The Cannabis Processing Citizen plays a critical role in both harvest preparation and post-harvest operations. This position requires physical stamina during early-week harvest activities and strong attention to detail throughout trimming and processing for the remainder of the week. You’ll work closely with a dedicated team to ensure accuracy, consistency, and quality across all production activities.
Responsibilities
Primary responsibilities include but are not limited to:
Harvest & Plant Processing (Mondays)
- Stand for extended periods while cutting, weighing, and moving plants.
- Safely lift, transport, and organize heavier plant materials.
- Operate hand tools for cutting and preparation tasks.
- Accurately weigh, record, and track product throughout processing.
- Maintain a clean and orderly workspace to support safety and compliance.
Trimming & Post-Harvest Processing (Tuesday–Thursday)
- Sit at a conveyor trimming cannabis as it moves past.
- Remove excess leaves and stems with precision and consistency.
- Inspect product for defects or quality issues and escalate concerns.
- Hand-strip buds from stems when assigned.
- Maintain consistent hand movement, speed, and accuracy.
- Meet or exceed daily trimming and processing quotas.
- Follow all safety, sanitation, and compliance standards.

- Strong attention to detail and commitment to accuracy.
- Ability to sit for prolonged periods while performing repetitive hand movements.
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced, high-volume production environment.
- Proven ability to stay focused, productive, and quota-driven.
- Dependable, punctual, and collaborative.
- Previous trimming or production experience is preferred but not required.
Physical Requirements
- Standing for extended periods on Mondays.
- Sitting for extended periods Tuesday–Thursday.
- Frequent repetitive hand, wrist, and arm motions.
- Lifting, bending, reaching, and other physical tasks as required.
