What are the responsibilities and job description for the Intern position at Common Arts, Inc.?
Position Summary
Studio One Eleven interns will participate in an 8-week cross-disciplinary program where they will explore Urban Design, Architecture, and Landscape Architecture. Interns will support firm-wide initiatives, engage with active projects and teams, and collaborate on a joint Summer Intern Research Project.
Qualifications
- Two years minimum of architectural, landscape, or urban design/planning
- Basic knowledge of design, documentation, and graphic presentation
- Proficiency in SketchUp, AutoCAD, Revit, and other graphic software
- Strong communication skills, both speaking and written

- Ability to collaborate with Studio One Eleven staff and other interns
- Quality and thoroughness of work completed
- Ability to complete tasks efficiently and within the agreed timeline
- Proactive management of allocated time
Additional Responsibilities
- Assist with graphic efforts for presentations, projects, and publications.
- Meet with assigned mentors regularly to seek guidance and training.
- Use graphic design software and 3D modeling tools, such as Sketchup, CAD, Revit, and Adobe Suite, to produce design exhibits, renderings, presentation packages, and physical models.
- Assist with design tasks to help develop diagrams, models, details, and plans to be showcased on internal and external meetings.
- Enrollment in NCARB Architectural Experience Program (AXP) is strongly encouraged. (Architecture Intern)
