Join our dynamic logistics team at Commodity Forwarders! We’re seeking a full-time Logistics Customer Service Representative to join our Seattle branch.
Salary: $21.30 - $25 hourly (depending on experience)
Schedule: Sunday to Thursday 7 am - 3:30 pm
Your Responsibilities:
Customer & Shipment Management
- Oversee customer interactions and documentation to ensure cargo moves efficiently.
Operational Efficiency & Collaboration
- Delegate tasks effectively to optimize department productivity.
- Work closely with the warehouse and other teams to manage shipments efficiently.
Sales Support & Problem-Solving
- Assist the sales team by resolving issues, identifying growth opportunities, and driving customer retention.
- Demonstrate strong time management and problem-solving skills while maintaining a proactive approach.
Teamwork & Independence
- Balance independent work with being a supportive, team-oriented contributor.
- Maintain an organized mindset, taking initiative as a self-starter with excellent time management.
- Quote, book, and monitor domestic and international shipments for timely delivery.
Minimum Requirements:
- 2 years of experience in logistics; air freight and export experience is a plus.
- High School Diploma or GED.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment, multitasking and prioritizing competing, time-sensitive situations.
- Must be eligible to pass TSA background check.
- Proficient with basic computer skills, including email, web browsing, Microsoft Outlook, Excel, and Word.
- Strong knowledge of geography to identify optimal freight forwarding routes.
- Excellent customer service and vendor relations skills, both over the phone and in person.
